GalaEcu Journeys was created from more than a decade of experience in Ecuadorian tourism, with a background that began in 2011. Over the years, that experience has grown through direct contact with travelers, destinations and local providers across Galapagos & Ecuador, shaping the way we plan and support each journey today.
Our experience comes from working with travelers in Ecuador since 2011, learning how good service depends on attention, communication and important details.
GalaEcu Journeys was created to offer something more personal: listening carefully, understanding each traveler’s needs and being genuinely present throughout the planning process.

From a Family Legacy to GalaEcu Journeys
Following the legacy of my grandfather, José Veloz, my journey in tourism developed through years of experience and a strong connection with Ecuador. After 11 years working with established travel agencies in Quito, I decided it was time to take a new direction and create GalaEcu Journeys. The idea was simple: to build a travel company where the traveler comes first. We listen before we propose, take the time to understand each person’s needs and expectations, and provide the kind of personal and genuinely caring service that can easily be lost in larger travel companies. GalaEcu Journeys was created with the purpose of helping travelers fulfill their dream of discovering Galapagos & Ecuador. Every journey begins with a conversation, and from there we work together to create experiences, connections and memories that will remain long after the trip is over.
